Patent Specialist

Nokta Detectors, headquartered in Istanbul, is a leading company in the metal detecting industry. Nokta Detectors develops, manufactures, and exports metal detectors to more than 100 countries around the globe.

Nokta Detectors has been registered as an R&D Center by the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

Our engineering departments bring together young engineers with their experienced colleagues who have experience in various challenging and important projects to form teams that combine dynamism and professionalism.

We will continue our activities in our modern engineering and production facility with a total indoor area of 11.500 m², an R&D center of 1.500 m², and a production area of 3.000 m², which will be completed by 2023 spring in the Organized Industrial Zone located at Tuzla.

Job Description

• Carrying out activities on the company's intellectual and industrial property rights both domestically and internationally

• Researching and analyzing patents and patent families within the scope of R&D studies

• Conducting research and analysis on Freedem to Operate (FTO), Patent Infringement and Patent Validity

• Preparing patent applications for new technologies and inventions developed by R&D

• Constituting counter-arguments and objections needed for the patent processes

• Following up on patent and trademark registration processes with the relevant institutions and providing proactive advice

• Supporting the R&D department in terms of putting the inventions into practice

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of patents

• Knowledge of domestic and international legislation on patents

• Extensive knowledge of patent search databases

• Experience in patent preparation and follow-up processes

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English to be able to understand patent literature

• A good team player with high communication skills

• Preferably experienced in international patent processes from start to finish

• Preferably experienced in working with an R&D team

• Preferably with Patent Attorney certificate

• Completed military service for male applicants is an asset
